Mahabali Steel is one of the pioneer manufacturers and trader of Alloy 310S Sheets Plates Coils , which does not contain molybdenum and so pitting - resistance is quite poor. The alloy is readily welded by SMAW (manual), GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG) and SAW. Welding of Stainless Steel 310S sheets offered by Mahabali Steel are welded with matching electrodes and filler metals.

Chloride stress corrosion cracking may take place in corrosive liquids containing chlorides at temperatures exceeding 100 Degree C. Heat Treatment of Stainless Steel 310S plates are solution annealed by heating to temperature range 1040 Degree C – 1065 Degree C, holding at temperature until thoroughly soaked, then water quenching.

Preheat and post heat is not required, but for corrosion service in liquids full post weld solution annealing treatment is essential. Stainless Steel 310S coils offered by Mahabali Steel will be sensitised to inter - granular corrosion after service at temperatures in range 550 Degree C – 800 Degree C. They are resistant to oxidation, sulphidation and carburisation.

SS 310S sheets have good resistance to oxidation in intermittent service in air up to 1035 Degree C and 1050 Degree C in continuous service. In most instances the grain size and carbon content of the plate can meet both the 310S and 310H requirements. SS 310S plates are the low carbon version of the alloy and are utilized for ease of fabrication. It is a high carbon modification developed for enhanced creep resistance.
