It will become sensitised in the temperature range of 425 Degree C – 860 Degree C; this is not a problem for high temperature applications, but will result in reduced aqueous corrosion resistance.

Water - base coolant may cause chipping and rapid failure of carbide tools in interrupted cuts. These nickel – chromium – molybdenum (Ni – Cr – Mo) alloys have a long history of use in the Chemical Process Industries and are known for their versatility.
The combination of Molybdenum and Copper provide excellent corrosion resistance to reducing media, while the high Chromium content gives good oxidising resistance.
