Mahabali Steel is one of the known suppliers and manufacturer of Duplex Stainless Steel Sheets, Plates and Coils , which contains over 20 % chromium and approx. 5 % nickel, and is part of the group of stainless steels. Although it has good high temperature oxidation resistance, it suffers from embrittlement if held for even short times at temperatures above 300 Degree C.
Duplex Steel Plates offered by Mahabali Steel can readily be used down to at least -50 Degree C, where tooling and work surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned before use. These precautions are necessary to avoid cross contamination of stainless steel by easily corroded metals that may discolour the surface of the fabricated product. Duplex Steel Coils offered by Mahabali Steel does not perform well in chloride solutions, even in small concentrations, or in sulphuric acid.
In most instances, the corrosion resistance of this steel will be roughly equal in most corrosive environments. Mahabali Steel offers the same in different grades such as Duplex Steel S32205 Sheets Plates & Coils, Duplex Steel S31803 Sheets Plates & Coils, and Duplex Steel S32760 Sheets Plates & Coils.
However, in environments that are sufficiently corrosive to cause inter - granular corrosion of welds and heat - affected zones should be used because of its low carbon content.
