Duplex Steel S31803 Sheet, Plates & Coils

Mahabali Steel is one of the pioneer exporter and supplier of Duplex Stainless Steel S31803 Sheets, Plates and Coils , which displays properties and characteristic of both austenitic and ferritic stainless steels. Their microstructures consist of a mixture of austenite and ferrite phases.

Duplex Alloy UNS S31803 sheets offered by Mahabali Steel are extremely corrosion resistant and work hardenable alloys. This combination of properties can mean some compromise when compared with pure austenitic and pure ferritic grades. Duplex Alloy UNS S31803 plates are in most cases, tougher than ferritic stainless steels. Strengths of this steel can in some cases be double that for austenitic stainless steels.

Duplex Alloy UNS S31803 coils offered by Mahabali Steel are considered resistant to stress corrosion cracking, they are not as resistant to this form of attack as ferritic stainless steels. However, the corrosion resistance of the least resistant duplex stainless steels is greater than that for the most commonly used grades of stainless steels, i.e. 304 and 316.

Duplex steel S31803 plates offered by Mahabali Steel are also magnetic, a property that can be used to easily differentiate them from common austenitic grades of stainless. At low temperatures, it has better ductility than the ferritic and martensitic grades. The high chromium content of Duplex steel S31803 coils that protects against corrosion, and causes embrittlement at temperatures over about 300 Degree C. Fabrication of all stainless steels should be done only with tools dedicated to stainless steel materials.
