Molybdenum disulphide, a lubricant sometimes used to aid parts assembly, should not be used if the material will be subsequently exposed to temperatures above 800 Degree F (427 Degree C). At temperatures between 1000 Degree F and 1800 Degree F (540 Degree C and 980 Degree C), Copper Nickel Plates has chromium carbides precipitate out of the solid solution.
